Rosehip oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds of the rosehip flowers, whose botanical name is ruby rose. Known for its elasticising and antioxidant properties, this oil is made up of about 80% polyunsaturated fatty acids (alpha-linoleic acid and linoleic acid); it also contains vitamins C, E, K, squalene and retinol. Useful in the treatment of sensitive skin, with redness and rosacea, rosehip oil boasts emollient and antioxidant properties. It promotes tissue regeneration, which is why it can be used on scars, acne lesions, but also sunburns and small burns. Excellent for preventing and treating atrophic scars and striae (stretch marks), this oil is also a valuable ally in the prevention of wrinkles. It nourishes the skin and helps to keep it elastic. It is ideal for senescent, mature, dry or dehydrated skin.
