The essential oil of rosemary is extracted from the twigs of the plant (rosmarinus officinalis). The unmistakable fragrance makes this oil immediately recognizable. It is used for draining and relaxing massages. It has skin-purifying and astringent properties, which is why it can be added (one or two drops are sufficient) to creams, shampoos or shower gels in cases of impure, oily or acne-prone skin. If placed inside a room diffuser or an essence burner, it gives a feeling of relaxation, while improving concentration. It is advisable to apply it diluted using a carrier oil, or by mixing a few drops with other formulations.
